Norway defeats Australia - Round of 16
Norway tied Australia in the knockout stage of the 2019 Women's World Cup 1-1, but won the match on penalties 4-1 to advance to the quarter-finals. Norway's score came 30 minutes in, Isabelle Herlovsen intercepting a great midfield pass and kicked in for a goal. Australia's Elise Kellond-Knight scored near post on an inbound play 82 minutes in. The match went to extra-time where Australia's Sam Kerr missed a crucial spot kick and Norway's Ingrid Engen made hers to end the game in dramatic fashion.
Norway defeats South Korea - Group Stage Match 3
Norway beat South Korea 2-1 in the 3rd group stage match of the 2019 Women's World Cup to claim the final advancing position to the Round of 16. Norway received a penalty kick just 4 minutes into play and Caroline Graham Hansen kick it in for the game's first goal. Another penalty by South Korea 48 minutes in, this time on Graham, brought Isabell Herlovsen to the line and she kicked it in, a ball that was touched by the goalkeeper but went in anyways. South Korea's Yeo Minji scored late to end out the match.
France defeats Norway - Group Stage Match 2
France beat Norway in Group Stage Match 2 of the 2019 Women's World Cup. The match began to heat up 45 seconds into the second half when Valerie Gauvin made a straight on goal for France. 54 minutes in, Wendie Renard tried to block a shot attempt by Norway, but ended up knocking it in, tying the game with Norway. After France's setback, 72 minutes into the match, they were awarded a penalty kick. Eugeinie Le Sommer made the goal, giving France the win and sending them on to the next round.
Norway defeats Nigeria - Group Stage Match 1
Norway won its first of three group stage matches by beating Nigeria 3-0 in the opening round of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in Paris, France. The first goal of the match came at the 17th minute of play from Norway's Guro Reiten, kicked in from the right corner. Norway's second goal was scored by Lisa-Marie Utland in the 33rd minute. Utland's kick bounced off the goalie's hands and into the back of the net. The final goal was accidentally scored for Norway by Nigeria's Osinachi Ohale, attempting to block a goal from Norway.
